Current Projects
After validating commercial viability of sodium silicate and
activated carbon products, we entered into an agreement with
Producers Rice Mill, Inc. resulting in the formation of an Arkansas
limited liability company, AgriTecSorbents, LLC. AgriTecSorbents
has financed, engineered, constructed and is operating the plant
which manufactures liquid sodium silicate and powdered activated
carbon products derived from rice hull ash (RHA) raw materials
provided by Producers, utilizing patented technology licensed by
AgriTec. The plant is located near Producers’ rice mill facilities
in Stuttgart, Arkansas. The plant is designed to process 12,000
tons per year of RHA, resulting in a design output of 25,000 tons of
liquid sodium silicate and 5,000 tons of activated carbon annually.
Shipments of commercial products began in 2006.
AgriTec entered into a Joint Venture Agreement in July 2006, with
Lanka Orix Project Development Limited (LOPD) based in Sri Lanka,
for the purpose of
engaging in the production of precipitated silicas, silica gels,
activated carbon and other related products through the exploitation
of AgriTec’s patents throughout 17 major rice growing countries of
Southeast Asia and the Pacific-Rim.
The Joint Venture entity (AgriSil Holdings Ltd), in cooperation with
local partners is developing rice husk fired electric plants and
silica production units in several Thailand Provinces. These
projects include the design, construction and operation of
integrated plants which utilize the rice husk ash (RHA) generated by
the electric plants and process it to liquid sodium silicate,
precipitated silica, silica gels, and activated carbon in various
quantities utilizing AgriTec’s technology.
While biomass fueled plants and traditional precipitated silica
plants operate around the world, these will be the first integrated
plants to take advantage of AgriTec’s technology.
